The Academy of Dance Arts (ADA) has been a powerhouse of world-class ballet training for students like Anjuli Paul, who credits the academy’s exceptional coaching as the foundation of her career. Anjuli’s recent achievements are the culmination of years of dedicated training and invaluable guidance under the direction of ADA’s founder, Sherry Moray. Through ADA, Anjuli transformed dreams into real opportunities, experiencing an artistic journey that has led her to study at Boston Ballet’s Professional Division at Walnut Hill, the Dutch National Ballet Academy, and now the Indiana University Ballet Theater.
Reflecting on her time at ADA, Anjuli describes the training as “nothing short of stellar.” Before her time with Miss Sherry, Anjuli’s goals felt distant—mere dreams. Yet under Sherry’s insightful coaching, Anjuli began to see the stepping stones that would turn these dreams into a reality. The disciplined yet nurturing environment at ADA cultivated her technical skills, artistry, and professional ambition, catapulting her toward the milestones she has reached today.
Anjuli’s mother echoes this sentiment, describing how ADA went beyond technique to foster both support and opportunity. “The Academy of Dance Arts under the direction of founder and artistic director Sherry Moray has been instrumental in facilitating our daughter’s success throughout her ballet career,” she shares. Miss Sherry’s vision extends beyond ADA’s walls, ensuring her dancers gain recognition through elite competitions and prestigious summer intensives. The program at ADA, under Miss Sherry’s expertise, opens doors to the international ballet community, connecting young dancers with the wider world of ballet.
This level of preparation was key to Anjuli’s transition to Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Boston, where she continued to pursue high-level ballet while balancing academics. “Miss Sherry’s encouragement and support throughout this journey made the transition seamless,” Anjuli’s mother adds. After graduating from Walnut Hill, Anjuli knew she wanted to continue her dance education in college, and once again, Miss Sherry played an instrumental role by recommending her to top ballet programs. Now enrolled in Indiana University’s prestigious Ballet Program at Jacobs School of Music, Anjuli continues to draw from her foundation at ADA.
Following another ADA alumnus, Anjuli further honed her skills at the Dutch National Ballet Academy in Amsterdam. As her mother remarks, "in the ballet world, no path is linear,” and yet, with ADA’s outstanding training, guidance, and global experiences, Anjuli is discovering just how far her journey can take her.
Anjuli’s story is a testament to the transformative power of training at The Academy of Dance Arts. Under Sherry Moray’s leadership, ADA has equipped her with not only technique but also resilience, confidence, and a sense of purpose. The Academy is where dreams take root and young artists like Anjuli Paul begin their path toward professional ballet careers.
