The Academy of Dance Arts, founded in 1999 by Sherry Moray, offers a world-class dance education, with performance opportunities, in a nurturing environment that allows the mind, body, and spirit of each dancer to thrive. Our state-of-the-art facility boasts 6 large dance studios and easy access from I88 and the surrounding Chicagoland area and serves Warrenville, Naperville, Downers Grove, Wheaton, Glen Ellyn, and Hinsdale. As a premier dance school, our internationally trained faculty has developed dancers with exceptional technique and artistry. Our wide variety of dance classes offer something for everyone, from the pre-professional to the tiny tot, fostering a love for the performing arts through the exhilarating joy of movement.

Performance opportunities for students include full-length ballet productions, the Youth America Grand Prix, regional and national dance competitions.

The Academy of Dance Arts has been recognized as a premier ballet studio for its excellence in Ballet Training and received the "Outstanding School Award" from the prestigious Youth America Grand Prix (2000, 2003, 2013, 2014, 2017, 2024, and 2025). Artistic Director, Sherry Moray, received the "Outstanding Teacher Award" in 2000, 2009, 2012, 2017, 2019, 2020 and 2022 at YAGP. The Faculty of The Academy of Dance Arts received the "Outstanding Teacher Award" in 2022 and 2023 at YAGP. Top 12 Classical Ensemble "Fairy Dance" at YAGP 2024 Finals NYC.

Students Anjuli Paul and Abigail Tallman were honored with the Universal Ballet Competition's "UBC Legacy Award" in 2023 and 2025, respectively. Additionally, The Academy was recognized with the "UBC Outstanding School Award" in 2025.

Our experience at The Academy of Dance Arts has been life changing for our daughter! The teachers, under the direction of founder and artistic director, Sherry Moray, are superb and offer excellent instruction in a very positive and nurturing environment. From the day we stepped foot in the studio and met the staff and teachers, we knew this was the right place for our daughter to continue her training as a ballerina. ADA has a very welcoming atmosphere that promotes positive relationships with faculty, staff and other dancers. The focus in not only on ballet technique, but also on other disciplines within dance that help to create a well-rounded dancer. In addition, the training focuses on opportunities to compete in elite competitions that help advance dancers into their career. We believe this is the western suburbs premier dance studio with an excellent reputation on a national level.
